The walk from Wayah Bald to Wine Springs on the Appalachian and Bartram Trails is lush with wildflowers in diverse habitats and we were lucky to have Larry Mellichamp help us see them all. July 15 was a perfect day and I listed nearly 50 species in my notes - maybe 75% or what we saw - beautiful and overwhelming. Karen’s photos as always describe the day best.
